Chloe Cassidy is a design educator interested in how embedding relational and protective practices within design can empower people and communities to flourish. Her transdisciplinary practice is grounded in somesthetics and psychosocial models of care, creativity, growth and transformation. Her work has been presented at the Venice Biennale, Australian Fashion Week and Rookwood Sculpture Walk, and is integrated into the public spaces of several NSW hospitals. Through her teaching at UNSW, Chloe supports emerging designers to develop research-led, critically reflective and relational practices that engage thoughtfully with increasingly complex social contexts. Her pedagogy connects design research and iterative exploration with a strong commitment to ethical practices, to encourage students to pursue generative and meaningful forms of inquiry when developing context-responsive designs.
